Having lived her whole life in Paris, Texas, Judy Gibson has developed a great love for horses and other symbols of the Southwest. She captures in her paintings the spirit and grace associated with her home. Enjoying working with oils, Gibson manipulates the paint to gain effects she cannot achieve through other media. With watercolor, it is the spontaneity and serendipitous qualities that Gibson appreciates. Her work has been recognized by such publications as "Arabian Images," "Equine Images" and the "Texas Quarter Horse Annual". |
