Larry Jacobsen is a native Californian who has lived and painted in the mountains of Southern California for the past 35 years, surrounded by the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest.
A life-long artist and illustrator, Larry Jacobsen studied graphic design in college and over the years created a large body of commissioned illustration as well as compelling landscapes and wildlife scenes that he has showed in a number of California galleries. Many of his works have been reproduced over the years as fine art prints.
As the artist puts it, "Foremost in my mind when I create is design. My paintings are always about light and shadow, particularly the effects of early morning light on landscape terrain. My work reflects a deep respect and appreciation of nature with all its subtle and profound beauty."
